On June 18th 2024 SPAR6C will launch the third edition of its Toolbox Guides 2024 Webinar Series, covering the latest insights and guidance related to Guide #5, "Screening and Developing Article 6 Activities". This guide supports mitigation activity participants - the public or private entity that is the developer or owner of the mitigation activity – with advice and guidance throughout each step of the Article 6 activity cycle, from conceptualization to transfer of credits. Participants will learn how to effectively navigate this process and define a clear pathway to authorization of your Article 6 activities. On the day of the webinar, two sessions at different times will be offered to accommodate various time zones:

9:00-10:15 am CET (Special guest: Thailand Activity Developers)

3:00-4:15 pm CET (Special Guest: Zambia Activity developers)

Agenda:

  • Opening remarks by Malin Ahlberg (BMWK), setting the stage for the significance of the collective journey towards implementing Article 6.
  • Expert overviews by Laura Camila Cruz, Benjamin Heras and Francois Sammut (Carbon Limits) on the overall content of the guide, providing a strategic framework on screening for success factors, Article 6 activity cycle and insights from design to mitigation outcomes.
  • In-depth discussions on how to screen and develop Article 6 Activities, alongside unique and practical experiences shared by special guests from Thailand and Zambia: Banda Chanda (One Acre Fund Zambia) and a representative from TGO (Thailand Green House Management Organization).
  • Interactive Q&A session, providing a chance to engage with speakers, ask questions, and explore the topics to make Article 6 implementation easier.
